Comal ISD is hosting a job fair 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 1, at Support Services Building, 1404 IH 35 N, in New Braunfels. The district has a high demand for after-school childcare aides, bus drivers, instructional paraprofessionals, essential academic/special education teachers, dual language teachers and licensed speech pathologists.
Parents interested in learning more about the district's Gifted and Talented (GT) services and having their students evaluated are invited to attend a virtual meeting.
With a grade of "A" and a score of 93, Comal ISD is among the top school districts in the state of Texas based on performance in student achievement, school progress and closing the gaps. This the district's second "A" rating in a row.
Thanks to more than 40 local business partners, Comal ISD students are gaining real-life experience this summer as lifeguards, camp counselors, tour guides, food servers and more. Many of these jobs and internships won't end when the first bell rings on Aug. 23, and students may find opportunities on the district's website.
Comal ISD is hosting two student immunization clinics on Monday, Aug. 8, at Canyon Middle School and Pieper Ranch Middle School. Participants should register by Thursday, Aug. 4.
The Comal ISD Board of Trustees has opened the application process for the district’s superintendent search. Applications will be accepted through Monday, Aug. 15.
Kaleb Burch's Duck tape tuxedo was among the top five designs in the 22nd Annual Duck tape brand Stuck at Prom Scholarship Contest. He used 10 rolls of Duck tape and spent 30 hours creating his winning checker-board themed tux.

Comal ISD’s Canyon Lake High School class of 2022 has a new Salutatorian, Macie Goodson. District administrators have apologized to Macie for a miscalculation which initially placed her as third in the class of 225 graduates.
