Comal ISD Hosts Back-To-School Student Immunization Clinics, Aug. 12

July 30, 2025 - Comal ISD is hosting two student immunization clinics on Tuesday, Aug. 12. Anyone interested in participating in these clinics may register here. Walk-ins will be accepted.

Clinic times and locations on Tuesday, Aug. 12:

  • 9 a.m. to noon at Canyon Middle School, 2014 FM 1102, New Braunfels
  • 2-5 p.m. at Bill Brown Elementary School, 20410 Hwy. 46, Spring Branch

The student immunization clinics are open to school-aged children through age 18. All insurance policies will be verified. The out-of-pocket cost will be $10 per shot. When completing the registration information, write “NA” for all insurance questions if the family does not have health insurance. The following immunizations will be offered for these grade levels:

  • Pre-k and kindergarten (if vaccines are not up to date) – DTP/IPV/MMR/Varicella, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Hib, PCV
  • Incoming seventh grades – MCV4 (meningitis) and Tdap (booster tetanus) required for seventh grade. HPV, optional.
  • 12th grade – MCV4 (meningitis) – required for colleges. Men B, optional 2 shot series for the fifth strain of meningitis.

Additional back-to-school immunization support may be found through Comal County Public Health which is hosting a vaccine clinic 8:30 a.m. to noon Wednesday, Aug. 6, by appointment only at 1917 FM 2673, Canyon Lake.

The CCPH office also is open for vaccinations from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday at 1297 Church Hill, Suite 102, New Braunfels, by appointment.
