March 27, 2023 - The Comal Independent School District is hosting a District-Wide Career Fair from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 1, at Canyon High School, and it’s no joke. Every Comal ISD campus including two new elementary schools will be represented at the district’s largest hiring event.
While the district is hiring for all positions, it is focusing on teacher and classroom support openings for the upcoming 2023-2024 school year. Before the fair, interested job seekers are encouraged to find current openings and complete an application through the district’s online job portal.
Considered a fast-growth public school district, Comal ISD covers 589 square miles and includes Comal County and portions of Bexar, Guadalupe, Hays and Kendall counties. In addition, a total of 10 communities are part of Comal ISD including Bulverde, Canyon Lake, Garden Ridge, Fischer, New Braunfels, the northern tip of San Antonio, Sattler, Smithson Valley, Spring Branch and Startzville.
Currently, the district includes 18 elementary schools, seven middle schools, five high schools and two schools of choice. Two additional elementary schools will open August 2023, and new middle school will open August 2024.
